Eric Clapton, universally recognized as one of the world's greatest guitarists, finished second in Rolling Stone's list of the "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time." Presented is an Eric Clapton signed and inscribed limited edition promotional print, featuring a design by renowned artist Peter Blake. Clapton has played with numerous famous groups such as the Yardbirds, Cream, and Derek and the Dominos. Playing mostly blues and rock and roll, he is also an incredible solo artist. "Layla," "My Father's Eyes," and "Tears in Heaven" are just a few of his many original songs. The offered print was created by Peter Blake, the artist most remembered for his artwork on the cover of the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album. The displayed print is partially modeled on the famous Sgt. Pepper album and it portrays Clapton playing at the Royal Albert Hall, in London, England, when Clapton gave 42 performances in one run, including 24 nights in a row, which became the source for his live hit album called 24 Nights. Clapton won three Grammy Awards for "Tears in Heaven" and he is a 3-time inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame; as a solo artist, and as a member of both Cream and the Yardbirds. The offered print measures approx. 10.75x26.5", matted and framed to 15x31.1". Clapton scripted a bold signature and inscribed "91" to date his signature, both in black ink.
