Joe DiMaggio was an American icon whose fame transcended sports. Displayed is a Joe DiMaggio single-signed Rawlings Official American League Ball (Brown). The Hall of Fame center fielder played 13 Major League seasons, all with the New York Yankees. "The Yankee Clipper" was a part of ten Yankee pennant winners and an incredible nine World Championship teams with the Bronx Bombers. The 13-time All-Star was a 2-time AL batting champion. He batted a career .325. At the time he retired following the 1951 season, his 361 home runs placed him fifth in MLB history, and his slugging percentage of .579 placed sixth in MLB annals. Joltin' Joe's 56-game consecutive hitting streak in '41 is one of the most amazing, and long-standing records in sports. Joe was married at one time to Marilyn Monroe, and he was again in a relationship with her when she passed away, reportedly from a suicide, in 1962. The offered baseball has a few light smudges but is in overall EXCELLENT condition. "Joe D" signed the ball on the sweet spot, using a blue ballpoint, and crafting a neatly scripted, 9/10 signature.
