Hall of Fame outfielder Lou Brock batted .288 that season, with 16 home runs and 63 stolen bases. Hall of Fame right-hander Bob Gibson anchored the pitching staff with a 20-12 record and a 3.07 ERA. Hall of Fame left-hander Steve Carlton pitched mostly in relief, with a 0-0 record and a 2.52 ERA. The team was managed by Hall of Famer Red Schoendienst. All the key signatures are here. Signing the baseball, in addition to Hall of Famers Brock, Gibson, Carlton, and Schoendienst: Curt Flood (famous for challenging baseball's reserve clause), Ken Boyer, Bill White (later the National League Commissioner), Dick Groat, Bob Skinner, Bob Purkey, Tim McCarver, Dal Maxville, Curt Simmons, Tito Francona, Larry Jaster, Mickey Vernon (coach), Joe Schultz (coach), Joe Becker (coach), Bob Milliken (coach, signed twice), and more. The ball is clean and white - NRMT-MT. The signatures, mostly in blue ballpoint, average 7/10. The signed ball makes a nice keepsake, with the signatures of many famous names.
