Displayed is a collection of 11 beautifully made Heartland baseball figurines, all Hall of Famers: Mickey Mantle (2, one figurine has glue remnants on and under the shoes, and both have some tiny paint loss on one or both arms), Stan Musial (in his famous crouched stance), Harmon Killebrew, Yogi Berra (with a separate mask that can be placed in his right hand), Hank Aaron, Roger Maris (with a tiny spot of paint loss on helmet) Don Drysdale, Willie Mays (brim broken, Mays is depicted as ready to make one of his famous basket catches, with his open glove open at his waist), Warren Spahn, and Ted Williams (two versions of the Williams figure exist: one in which the visible lettering on his jersey says "RED" and one in which the visible lettering reads "Red." The offered version reads "Reds").

Heartland was founded in 1941 in Wisconsin. Its first baseball release was Series 900, in 1958. More players were added to the 900 Series in 1963, making a total of 18 figurines. The products were made by using mold-injected plastic resin. The colorful details on the figurines are amazing. The batting stances and or swings are individually designed and incredibly reminiscent of the players in real life. The mid-motion depictions of the pitchers makes it appear that a miniature version of the actual hurler is about to throw. The faces, and even their facial expressions, actually resemble the real player's own.

The figurines, averaging about 8.5" in height, were sold in stadia and in specialty stores throughout the nation. Heartland. Throughout the ensuing years, Heartland changed ownership a number of times and sometimes went years without new baseball figurines. In 2006, the company was purchased by Fay Halliwell and changed its name to Heartland of Ohio. The company produced 22 figurines of players from the Negro Leagues. The last baseball figurines were produced by Heartland of Ohio in 2013. Halliwell has passed away and the fate of the company is not clear. The Berra figure has some tiny paint loss, and there is some minor toning in a few figurines. Despite some imperfections, overall, the figurines are in EX condition, and they are so well done that the players of the 1950s-60s are once more in their prime.
