Presented is a 1970 Stanley Cup Champion Boston Bruins team-signed vintage pennant with 23 signatures. In the 1969-70 regular season, the Bruins had a 40-17-19 record and finished second in the NHL's East Division. Defenseman Bobby Orr led the NHL in scoring with 33 goals and a league-leading 87 assists. Center Phil Esposito had 43 goals and 56 assists for 99 points. The Bruins caught fire in the playoffs, with a 12-2 record and a 4-0 sweep over the expansion St. Louis Blues in the Stanley Cup Finals. Goalie Gerry Cheevers had a 12-1 playoff record, with a 2.23 GAA. The team was coached by Harry Sinden. The pennant has a length of 29.2", and at its taller end measures approx. 12". The offered pennant is in mostly Bruins colors of gold and black, with some added white. The pennant has images of the Bruins logo and the Stanley Cup, plus "BRUINS" in white lettering with black trim. The signatures are in black marker or black fine tip marker: Hall of Famers - Phil Esposito, Johnny Bucyk, Gerry Cheevers, coach Harry Sinden. Stars - Ed Johnston, Johnny "Pie" McKenzie, Wayne Cashman, Ed Westfall, Fred Stanfield, Don Awrey, Ken Hodge. There is no Bobby Orr signature on the pennant. The pennant is in EXCELLENT condition and signatures average 7-8/10. The team-signed pennant makes a great remembrance for one of hockey's most famous teams.
