Hall of Fame center Shaquille O'Neal was a terrific NBA player who, at 7'1" and over 320 lbs., played a vintage-style game by establishing position in the low post and dominating the game from the inside. Displayed is a pair of 1994-95 Shaquille game worn Orlando Magic Reebok sneakers. Shaq played 19 NBA seasons: Orlando Magic (1992-96), Los Angeles Lakers (1996-2004), Miami Heat (2005-08), Phoenix Suns (2007-09), Cleveland Cavaliers (2009-10), Boston Celtics (2010-11). O'Neal averaged a career 23.7 PPG, 10.9 TRB, 2.5 APG, and 2.3 BPG. He was a 15-time All-Star, a 3-time Finals MVP, a 4-time NBA Champion, the 1992-93 Rookie of the Year, and the 1999-2000 NBA MVP. In the 1994-95 season when O'Neal wore the offered sneakers, he averaged 29.3 PPG to lead the NBA in scoring, and he grabbed 11.0 TRB. He was second in the race for the NBA MVP, and his Orlando Magic team reached the NBA Finals, losing 4-0 in games to the Houston Rockets. It can be said that whenever Shaq left a game or left a team, his shoes were hard to fill, both figuratively and literally, because Shaq's offered sneaker is an enormous size 22. The sneakers are white with black trim and black laces. On the outside tongue of each sneaker is an image of Shaq dunking in his iconic style with his legs and arms almost making his body fold in the shape of a "V." A similar Shaq logo, of his dunk, is on the back of each sneaker. On the outside, near the back of each sneaker, is the Reebok logo. Each sneaker has a tag on the inside tongue that reads, "MADE IN CHINA/FABRIQUE EN CHINE/USA 22/U K/21/EUR 61/SAMPLE PYE." On the back of each sneaker is a Velcro strap which reads, "Reebok." The underside of each sneaker has a Reebok logo and a stylistic, rough image of Shaq dunking. The shoes exhibit moderate wear, and they are in very nice condition. Shaq is still very much in the public consciousness as he is a basketball commentator and a ubiquitous presence in television commercials, and these offered Shaq game worn sneakers made a great remembrance for one of the NBA's most notable players.
