Presented are two multi-signed sheets of autographs (100 total) by Hall of Fame second baseman Ryne Sandberg. Known as "Ryno," Sandberg played 16 Major League seasons: Philadelphia Phillies (1981), Chicago Cubs (1982-94 & 1996-97). Sandberg was a 10-time All-Star, a 7-time Winner of the Silver Slugger Award for second basemen, the NL home run leader in 1984, and the 1990 NL MVP. He batted a career .285 with 2,386 hits and 282 home runs. A superior fielder, he won Gold Gloves for his play at second base in nine consecutive seasons - from 1983-91; at his retirement in 1997, he held the MLB all-time fielding percentage record for second basemen, at .989. He managed the Philadelphia Phillies from 2013-15. These two sheets of Sandberg autographs come from the same consignor who is offering the Mickey Mantle 99 signature sheet in this auction. Each thick card stock black-colored sheet of fifty autographs measures 10x15". Each sheet has 50 segments measuring 1x3". Using a gold-colored fine tip marker, Sandberg signed each of the 100 segments with his beautifully crafted, big, and bold signature. "The game never came easy for me," said Sandberg about his career. He worked at all aspects of baseball and believed in doing things the right way. "I was taught you never, ever disrespect your opponent or your teammates or your organization or your manager, and never, ever your uniform," said the Cubs immortal. The offered 100 Sandberg signatures are in EXCELLENT condition, and they made a great remembrance for one of the Chicago Cubs' best-ever players, on-and-off the field.
