Collection of three Pittsburgh Pirates signed baseballs consisting of two 1960/1961 team balls (the players listed on each ball were with the club in both 1960 and 1961) and a circa early 1990s ball featuring former Pirates players and others. Please note: the Clemente signatures on the two 1960/1961 team balls are clubhouse versions. 1) 1960/1961 Pirates. Official National League (Giles) ball signed in blue ink (averaging 5/10) by nineteen team members, including Mazeroski, Groat, Haddix, Stuart, Nelson, Schofield, Mizell, Face, Christopher, Skinner, Oldis, and Smith. (The signatures of Clemente and Murtaugh are clubhouse examples.) EX, with a very light layer of protective shellac. 2) 1960/1961 Pirates. Official National League (Giles) ball signed in blue ink (averaging 7/10) by the following nineteen team members: Mazeroski, Groat, Hoak, Stuart, Nelson, Schofield, Labine, Mizell, Haddix, Face, Friend, Law, Cimoli, Virdon, Skinner, Gibbon, Oldis, Burgess, and Smith. (The signatures of Clemente and Murtaugh are clubhouse examples.) EX-MT, with a very light layer of protective shellac. 3) Early 1990s Pirates (and Others) Reunion Ball. Twenty-two blue or black-ink signatures (averaging 9/10) on an Official National League (White) ball, including Mazeroski, Groat (sweet spot), Tito Francona, Kent Tekulve, Ron Neciai, and Frank Thomas.
