Rare Chicago Bulls home jersey produced for use by Michael Jordan during the 1993-94 season. What makes this jersey unique is both its provenance and the fact that Jordan did not play for the Bulls during the 1993-94 season. As everyone knows, Jordan stunned the sports world that year with his decision to forgo the 1993-94 NBA season in his quest to become a Major League baseball player. Although his intent was clear, that did not stop the Bulls from having Champion, the supplier of the club's uniforms in 1993-94, manufacture jerseys for Jordan, just in case he changed his mind at any time during the season. This is one of the 1993-94 home jerseys produced by Champion for Jordan and it is accompanied by the impeccable provenance of having been consigned directly by the former Manager of Team Operations for Champion at the time. Jordan, of course, never did return to the Bulls during the 1993-94 season, so after the season our consignor kept the jersey as a souvenir, and it has remained in his sole possession since that time. It must be understood that this is an official 1993-94 Chicago Bulls home jersey and if Jordan had returned that season, it is the very jersey that he would have been issued for game use. As such, it is one of the scarcest Jordan "gamers" in the hobby and one that makes for a wonderful conversation piece. The white mesh jersey is lettered "Bulls" across the front and features the number "23" on the front and reverse. "Jordan" is lettered on the reverse above the number. All letters and numbers are applied in red on black tackle twill. Located on the left front tail are a "Champion 46" label and a second "Champion" label that reads in part "1993-1994 Designed & Tailored Exclusively for Chicago Bulls Body Length +3." The jersey is original as issued and shows no use. Together with a letter of provenance from the consignor.
