A bat used by Hall of Fame first baseman Tony Perez during his time with the Boston Red Sox in the early 1980s. The uncracked Louisville Slugger model R43 shows outstanding signs of use with noticeable ball strikes and paint transfers along the barrel. The number 5, which Perez wore as a member of the Red Sox, is written on the barrel in black marker. Lelands grades the bat 9 on a scale of 1-10. A key member of the Big Red Machine, Perez spent his first 13 seasons with the Cincinnati Reds before later playing for the Montreal Expos, Boston Red Sox, and Philadelphia Phillies. The 7-time All-Star retired following the 1986 season and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2000.
