A Pittsburgh Steelers jersey worn during the 1980 season by defensive end John Banaszak. The front tail tag shows that the white number 76 jersey was made by Sand-Knit, and is a size 50. There is an additional 80 tag for the season. The custom-hemmed garment shows extensive use with 30 team repairs and loose threads. The jersey's nameplate has been removed, but it is included in the lot. Also included is a Certificate of Authenticity from the Steelers Team Shop. Banaszak was a key player for the Steelers in the late 70s and early 80s, starting at defensive end for the Super Bowl XIII and XIX.
