An uncracked bat used by baseball legend Barry Bonds during the 1987 season, his second in the Major Leagues. The standard finish Louisville Slugger model C235 is 34 inches long and weighs 31.6 ounces. The bat shows excellent use with a coat of pine tar on the handle and ball strikes throughout the barrel. Bonds' number 24 has been written in black marker on the knob. The lot will include a Letter of Grading and Authenticity from PSA/DNA who has assigned the bat a grade of GU 8.5. Bonds, who holds the all-time Major League home run record with 762, is considered to be one of the best players in the game's history. This item represents an important piece of memorabilia from the early days of his career.
