Gorgeous pair of patriotic red, white and blue Ali trunks are not unlike the standard white satin’s that he wore in training. They have a white satin body with “Everlast” cloth label in the center waist with the legend below, “Made Expressly For Muhammad Ali”. There is however one twist. The waistband instead of being black is red and blue. It is not unlikely that this was created for the United States’ 200th birthday in 1976. They are exceptional quality and may have been made prematurely for a fight and then never worn. But they were definitely used in training at the very least, and show signs of definite wear and washing. In excellent condition, Muhammad Ali signed them in the 1980s in black sharpie. Originally from the Drew “Bundini” Brown Estate sale, it is tagged with number “RK 8815.” Comes with letter from boxing expert Craig Hamilton who researched and authenticated them.
