Presented is a 1950s Joe Cronin signed Hall of Fame ARTVUE Type 2 postcard plaque. Cronin, a shortstop, was a Major Leaguer for 20 seasons: Pittsburgh Pirates (1926-27), Washington Senators (1928-34), Boston Red Sox (1935-45). The 1930 AL MVP was a 7-time AL All-Star. He had a lifetime .302 batting average. Playing at a time when middle infielders did not usually exhibit much power, Cronin hit 170 career four-baggers. He was a manager for 15 campaigns, 13 of those as a playing manager, and he won pennants as a manager for the 1933 Washington Senators and the 1946 Boston Red Sox. Cronin was the 1930 AL MVP with a .346 batting average and 126 RBIs. He was also a baseball executive and the President of the American League. The ARTVUE postcard measures 3.5x5.5". Cronin signed the postcard in neatly scripted, blue fountain ink. The postcard is in nice condition, and it has been encapsulated and PSA/DNA Certified as AUTHENTIC AUTO.
