A Philadelphia Phillies jersey worn by coach Harry "Peanuts" Lowrey during the early 1960s. The gray flannel jersey shows significant signs of wear with loose threads on the number 3 and several stains on the backside. The only remaining tag is on the inside collar and reads Lowrey in script. Lowrey began his career as an outfielder for the Chicago Cubs and made the National League All-Star team in 1946. He would later play for the Reds, Cardinals, and the Phillies. After his playing career came to an end, Lowrey would become a coach with the Phillies, Giants, Cubs, Expos, and Angels. He passed away in 1986 at the age of 68.
