A bat used during the mid-1980s by former Detroit Tigers second basemen Lou Whitaker. The Louisville Slugger bat grades out at an 8/10, is uncracked, and shows pine tar on the handle, with ball strikes running up the barrel. Whitaker's number 1 is written on the knob in black marker. The second baseman has signed (9/10 signature grade) the bat on the barrel. Whitaker, who won the World Series in 1984 with the Tigers, was one of the best two-way players in the game, winning multiple Silver Slugger and Gold Glove awards and making 5 All-Star teams. The former Tiger is considered to be one of the best players who isn't currently in the MLB Hall of Fame.
