Utah Jazz road jersey worn by Hall of Fame forward Karl Malone during the 1997-98 season. The purple mesh jersey is lettered "Jazz" across the front and features the number "32" on the front and reverse. The name "Malone" is lettered on the reverse, directly above the number. All front letters and numerals are applied in tri-color tackle twill. All reverse letters are applied in white tackle twill. Located on the left front tail is a Champion label that reads "Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the Utah Jazz." The label also lists the year, "1997-98," and reads "Body Length +4." The jersey is original as issued and displays light wear. The "Mailman" delivered once again during the 1997-98 season. Playing in all 81 games, Malone averaged 27 points, 10.3 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 1.2 steals per game. Those numbers helped lead the Jazz to the NBA Finals and earned Malone a second-place finish in the MVP voting at season's end. One of the most dominant players of his era and a two-time MVP, Malone retired after the 2003-04 season with 36,928 points (third best all-time) and 14,968 rebounds (eighth best all-time). He was elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2010.
