Pittsburgh Pirates road jersey worn by relief pitcher Elroy Face in 1966. The vest-style gray flannel jersey is lettered "Pirates" across the front and features the number "26" on the left breast and reverse. All letters and numerals are applied in black on gold felt. A "MacGregor 42" label appears in the collar. Located on the interior right front tail are a second MacGregor label that reads "Set 2 1966" and a wash tag. Face has signed the jersey in black marker (grading 7/10) on the left front tail, adding "My Gamer" below his signature. The jersey is original as issued and displays heavy wear, including tears to the piping along both arm holes, and a few light, scattered stains. Face appeared in 54 games in 1966, all in relief, and finished the year with a record of 6-6, a 2.70 ERA, and 18 saves. One of the top relievers of his era, Face led the National League in saves three times and still holds the record for most wins in a season by a reliever with 18 in 1959. Face was also a key member of the 1960 World Champion Pittsburgh Pirates. He retired in 1969 with 104 wins, 191 saves, and 3.48 lifetime ERA. Full LOA from PSA (for the signature only).
