Presented is a 1985 Pete Rose signed professional model bat, a Mizuno PR4182. Rose, the Major League all-time "Hit King", has a record 4,256 hits. The "4182" number on the bat represents Rose's hit total at the time he passed Ty Cobb On September 11, 1985, to become the all-time MLB Hit King. The 17-time All-Star played 24 years in the Major Leagues. His most renowned years were with the Cincinnati Reds (1963-78 & 1984-86). He was a key member of the powerhouse dynasty, the 1970s Reds. Rose also played with the Philadelphia Phillies (1979-83) and the Montreal Expos (1984), and he was also the manager of Cincinnati from 1984-86. Rose was a 3-time World Series champion. The offered bat was not game used. The bat has a black finish, and it is 33.75" long and weighs 34.4 ounces. Stamped on the barrel is "MIZUNO SINCE 1906 JAPAN" and "Genuine PR 4192," and there is also a facsimile Pete Rose signature on the barrel. In addition, on the barrel, Rose, using a silver marker, has signed and inscribed "Pete Rose Hit King #4256." The bat has a few cracks on the barrel, and a few small abrasions or tiny spots showing loss of finish. Overall, the bat is in very good condition. A Pete Rose professional model bat, signed by the Hit King himself in big and bold silver marker, is a great addition to any sports collection. Comes with PSA LOA.
