Presented is a 2007 Roger Clemens New York Yankees game used, signed photo-matched Louisville Slugger M9 bat. He spent most of his career in the American League and the designated hitter rule meant that in the American League, he batted only occasionally. He did hit reasonably well for a pitcher when he batted .207 in 2006 with the National League's Houston Astros. In 2007, his final Major League season, Clemens had only two plate appearances, with only a pair of official at-bats. Clemens used the offered bat for both at-bats in the Yankees' June 21st away game against the National League's Colorado Rockies. After making an out in his first at-bat in that game, Clemens recorded a hit in the last at-bat of his career - a single to center field in the top of the 5th inning against the Rockies' Rodrigo Lopez. The maple bat is Model Number: H269. It has a length of 33.5" and a weight of 30.4 ounces. The black finish bat is uncracked, and the handle is wrapped in black tape. It shows evidence of outstanding use. The bat is autographed and inscribed "Rocket" and "World Series Champs" in silver marker on the front barrel. Comes with PSA GU 10 LOA and an LOA from Resolution Photomatching.
