Offered is a very rare full ticket, green variation, of one of the most famous boxing fights of all time, 1965 Muhammad Ali vs. Sonny Liston II. This unused ticket has been graded authentic by PSA and is in very good condition. There is some residue on the back from being in a scrapbook. There was a find of these tickets years ago, and green was not one of the colors from the find, making this version extremely rare. The ticket measures 5.25x2.25" and has images of Ali and Frazier on the front. The fight took place on May 25, 1965, in Lewiston, Maine. Ali knocked out Liston in the first round. The moment produced one of the most famous photos in boxing history, Ali standing and snarling over Liston, laying on the canvas. In addition, many consider the fight to be among the most controversial in boxing history. Did Ali really knock down Liston in the first round with a vicious punch? Or did Liston take a dive? That has been the debate among fans for decades now, and the fight has become known as "The Phantom Punch" fight. This seldom-seen relic is from the historic fight.
