Displayed is a 1961-63 Stan Musial professional model game used bat. The Hall of Famer played his entire career with the St. Louis Cardinals (1941-44 & 1946-63). Known as "Stan The Man," the outfielder and first baseman batted a career .331 and was a 24-time All-Star. He was a 3-time World Series winner, with 3,630 career hits and 475 home runs. He was a 3-time NL MVP who won seven NL batting titles. He had a unique batting stance, crouched and peeking out from his right forearm. Pitcher Ted Lyons described Musial's stance as "a kid peeking around the corner to see if the cops were coming." The offered bat is a Hillerich and Bradsby Model Number M159. The bat is ash, with a standard finish. It has a length of 34.5" and a weight of 30.7 ounces. The bat is uncracked and shows evidence of light use. A few ball marks are on the left and right barrels. The model number (M159) is stamped onto the knob. Etched onto the barrel is "GENUINE MUSIAL MODEL LOUISVILLE SLUGGER." Musial's number (6) is vintage written on both the knob and the barrel in black marker. The beautiful bat is uncracked. The bat has a PSA Certification 1B13598 and a bat grade of PSA GU 7. The reason the bat grade is not higher is because it does not have outstanding use. The bat comes with a PSA LOA.
