Displayed is a 1992 Tom Barrasso game used stick that the Hall of Fame goalie used as a Pittsburgh Penguin to garner his 200th NHL win. Barrasso played in the NHL for 19 seasons, from 1983-2003. He played for six teams, primarily the Buffalo Sabres (1983-84 to 1988-89) and the Pittsburgh Penguins (1988-89 to 1999-00). Barrasso was a 2-time Stanley Cup winner and a 3-time All-Star who won the 1983-84 Vezina and Calder Trophies. He has a lifetime NHL GAA of 3.24, with a save percentage of .892 and 38 shutouts. In his 200th win, Barrasso allowed three goals to the Quebec Nordiques in a 6-3 Pittsburgh victory. Barrasso had 31 saves. In 1991-92, Barrasso was the Penguins' main goaltender, and he had a GAA of 3.53, with an .885 save percentage. The 1991-92 Pittsburgh squad went on to win the Stanley Cup. The offered white goalie stick shows "SHER-WOOD" in black lettering as the manufacturer. Made for use by a right-handed shot, the approx. 48" stick shows "BARRASSO 35," "made in Canada," and "P.M.P.530" stamped on the shaft in black letters and numerals. The stick has original Dymo tape on the paddle and original tape on the butt end. Written in black marker on the butt end, by an unknown hand, is "+/ 35." On the stick is a piece of tape, hand-stamped by an unknown hand, reading, "TOM BARRASSOn200th CAREER WIN 6/3 VS QUEBEC 3/19/92." With small sections of missing tape, abrasions, puck, and stick marks, etc., the stick shows great use.
