A Milwaukee Brewers jersey worn by Paul Molitor during his 1978 rookie season. Photo-matched to an undated image of Molitor posing at Yankee Stadium (Getty 52991406). Possible dates are April 21-23, August 8-10, or September 19th. The baby blue pullover-style jersey was made by Sand Knit and is a size 40. An additional tag on the front tail reads "Molitor 78 40." The number 4 jersey shows nice signs of wear with pine tar stains on the shoulders and the back of the garment. Molitor has signed the item under the Milwaukee lettering on the front side. The item will come with a Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA verifying the signature and a letter of opinion from MEARS, verifying the garment's use. MEARS has assigned the jersey a grade of A-10. 1978 was the rookie season for Molitor who would remain with the team until 1992, hitting .273 in that first season with 6 home runs, 73 runs scored, and 30 stolen bases. Molitor, a member of the 3,000-hit club, would retire following the 1998 season and would be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2004. The former star had his number 4 retired by the Brewers and he is honored in the team's Wall of Honor. This is among the finest examples of a game used Molitor jersey in the hobby.
