Presented is a 1994 Paul Molitor Toronto Blue Jays game worn batting helmet that was won for the '94 All-Star Game and the second half of the season. A Hall of Famer, Molitor played 21 Major League seasons: Milwaukee Brewers (1978-92), Toronto Blue Jays (1993-95), Minnesota Twins (1996-98). He was used mostly as a designated hitter, and at second base and third base. He batted a career .306, with 234 home runs. He had excellent speed and stole 504 bases. He is one of only five players in history to have 3,000+ hits, a lifetime .300+ batting average, and 500+ steals. Molitor was a 7-time All-Star and was a key player on the Toronto Blue Jays 1993 World Champions and the '93 World Series MVP. The offered blue helmet has a Toronto Blue Jays decal logo on front. It has a date of production inside as 6/94. The helmet comes directly from Molitor's personal collection. It shows terrific use, with dried pine tar on the brim and other areas. An American Baseball Cap size 7 1/4 tag is inside. On the back of the helmet is a number "19" sticker, and an ABC/MLB tag. Inside is a Diamond Collection tag, an injury warning tag, and a small "M" sticker. Molitor signed the helmet twice: 1) Above the earflap, he inscribed, "This is my 1994 'Game Used' All Star Helmet." The aforementioned inscription was done in silver marker, and the word "Helmet" was written in fine tip gold marker over the original "Helmet" inscription that was done in silver marker. Using a fine tip gold marker, Molitor signed his name and added an inscribed "19" inside the letter "P." 2) Using a silver marker, Molitor signed his name on the brim and inscribed "1994 All Star." Using a fine tip gold marker, Molitor added the number "19" inside the letter "P" in his signature. Molitor's colorful signatures and inscriptions, along with the great use, make this game used Hall of Famer helmet a special collectible.
