A Houndstooth hat owned and worn on the sidelines by college football coaching icon Paul "Bear" Bryant. The interior band on the hat has one tag showing it is a size 7 1/4 and another tag showing it was made by Stetson. The checkered hat has several colors including blue, navy, and white, and shows fine signs of wear. The item was acquired by a sideline photographer and includes a Letter of Provenance from the previous owner. Bryant, who won 6 National Championships with the Alabama Crimson Tide, always wore a Houndstooth hat on the sideline. The coach died in 1983 after suffering a heart attack.
