It's rare these days when we are consigned something we have never seen before, but offered here is one such item, and it's a beauty: a Rawlings professional quality St. Louis Browns baby uniform, complete with its original retail box. The diminutive white flannel jersey is lettered "Browns" across the front and features the number 70 on the reverse, each applied in brown felt. A Rawlings tag is located on the interior right front tail. The white flannel "pants" are actually a diaper, with a plastic lining, three snaps on each side, and two back pockets. The brown wool hat has the St. Louis logo embroidered in white on the front and a Rawlings label on the leather headband. Also included are a pair of brown stirrup socks and an H&B mini-bat (16" in length) that is stamped "St. Louis Browns" on the barrel. All the items have never been used and remain in Near Mint condition. The red retail box, which bears a Rawlings label reading "Baseball Uniforms," measures 17x6x4" and is in Excellent condition. Since we are unfamiliar with this item, it might have been a custom order rather than a standard retail product. Either way, it's easily the most adorable vintage baseball uniform we have ever seen.
