Displayed is a July 9, 2011, full game ticket from Hall of Famer Derek Jeter's 3,000th hit, a bases-empty home run in the bottom of the 8th inning at Yankee Stadium that gave the New York Yankees the winning run in the Bombers' 5-4 win over the Tampa Bay Rays. Yankee Stadium had 48,103 fans in attendance, and Jeter had a fantastic day, as the shortstop batted leadoff and went 5-for 5 with a home run, a double, a stolen base, two runs scored, and two RBIs. His 3,000th hit was truly a magical moment as he hit a 0-1 pitch by Tampa Bay's David Price deep into the left field stands. Joel Peralta took the loss in relief for Tampa Bay, and the Yanks' David Robertson got the win, with Mariano Rivera earning the save. In that 2011 season, the Yankees won the AL East Division with a 97-65 record but were eliminated in the AL Division Series by the Detroit Tigers. Jeter, who batted a career .310 and was a key part of five Yankee World Champions, went on to have 3,465 hits. The offered ticket, for a $20.00 grandstand seat, measures 2.5x6", and it features an image of the club's 2011 manager, Jie Girardi. The ticket has been encapsulated and PSA graded NM 7.
