Collection of four Puerto Rican sales receipts belonging to Roberto Clemente, all of which originate from the Clemente family. Three are Esso gas receipts (4x6"), each made out to "Roberto Clemente," with two signed at the base by Clemente's wife, Vera Clemente. The receipts were all issued during the last year of Clemente's life and are dated, respectively, 1/13/72, 1/19/72, and 2/29/72. Excellent condition overall. The fourth receipt (8.25x10.25") is undated and bears no name, but the letterhead reads, "Roberto Clemente Corp." GD-VG, with tears along the top border. These receipts were originally sold (along with many other items belonging to Roberto Clemente) by the Clemente family at auction, and they remain housed in a plastic sleeve bearing the original Roberto Clemente Auction label.
