Scarce 1947 Tip Top Bread Warren Spahn rookie card. Only 27 have been graded by SGC and there are only six graded higher than this VG 3 example. The card has been graded and encapsulated by SGC VG 3. It has a clear black-and-white portrait of Spahn against a white background. All four corners are rounded while the edges have areas of roughness. Centering is excellent. The reverse is clean. The 2.25x3" black and white trading cards were issued in loaves of Tip Top Bread in 1947. Cards are not numbered and feature players from 11 Major League teams; each team was distributed locally in their area. The Braves are considered to be one of the more scarce teams to find, and Warren Spahn is one of the few Hall of Fame players whose cards in this set appear prior to their regular issue rookie cards.
