Terrific offering in this baseball signed by Hall of Famer Tom Seaver. Official National League (Brown) ball has slightly toned to a beautiful cream color and the stampings remain bold and clean. Seaver has signed in 8/10 blue ballpoint ink on the panel next to (and upside down from) the main stamp, and inscribed #300 along with the date of 8-4-85. Though best remembered for the first 12 seasons of his career with the New York Mets - as the cornerstone of the '69 Miracle Mets - Tom Terrific entered the 300th Win Club with a 4-1 victory for the Chicago White Sox over the New York Yankees. At age 40 (and in the days before pitch counts held sway over every game), Seaver twirled a stunning complete-game six-hitter while allowing just one run in front of over 54,000 fans at Yankee Stadium, many of them Mets fans enjoying a rare day at the House that Ruth Built.
