Presented is a 2004 Bernie Williams game used Rawlings glove. Williams played 16 years in the Major Leagues, all with the New York Yankees (1991-2006). A center fielder, he was a key part of four Yankees World's Champions. He batted a career .297, with 287 homers. A 5-time All-Star, he won four Gold Gloves. After his baseball career, Williams, a classically-trained guitarist, became a full-time musician. He composes his own songs, and he uses a variety of genres, especially jazz. His album called, The Journey Within, made the 2003 U.S. Jazz charts as jazz position #3, and his 2009 album, Moving Forward, made it to position #2 on that year's U.S. Jazz chart. The offered glove has a length of approx. 11.5". The back has a Rawlings tag, as does the back of the thumb slot. "Bernie Williams" is embroidered in black thread on the back of the thumb slot. The back of the pinky slot has a tag that reads, The Gold Glove Co. The pocket has an image of a steer. Rawlings is imprinted on the heel. The pocket side pinky slot has a machine-imprinted PRO301 - 6J/ 12 3/4 INCH. The glove shows great wear, particularly in the pocket, stained most likely from glove oil. The interior heel padding shows cracks from long-term use. The glove is in good condition, but it has become stiff from lack of use and from the absence of regular oiling. A game used glove from 4-time Yankee Gold Glove center fielder is a valued baseball collectible.
