Bobby Orr was a hockey revolutionary, a marvelous player who, even though a defenseman, imposed his own offensively-minded style on the game and changed hockey forever. Presented is a 1966 Bobby Orr rookie signed photo from the Hall of Famer's debut campaign with the Boston Bruins, a season in which he won the Calder Trophy as the NHL's Rookie of the Year. We can determine this to be a 1966 rookie photo by the lack of a white stripe on the sleeves, as the stripe was added for the 1967-68 season. Orr helped the Bruins to two Stanley Cups, won the Ross Trophy two times as the NHL's top scorer, and won the Hart Trophy as the NHL's MVP three times. He was an 8-time winner of the Norris Trophy as the league's top defenseman. He played for the Boston Bruins from 1966-76, and for the Chicago Black Hawks in 1976-77 and again in 1978-79. In 657 NHL games, he had an amazing 270 goals, 645 assists, for 915 points. The offered black & white photo measures 3.3x4.25". Orr, wearing his iconic number 4, can be seen in pregame warmups, skating just to the left of the open goal. Orr signed the photo in a bold, neat signature in blue ink. The photo has been encapsulated and Certified by Beckett as an AUTHENTIC AUTOGRAPH.
