Rudak "Official League" baseball signed in black ink on a side panel by Hugo Chavez (1954-2013), former President of Venezuela (2002-13). The signature, while still legible, has faded over time and grades 2/10. There are a few additional black-ink notations on a side panel and the sweet spot that have faded beyond legibility. Chavez's signature on a baseball is rare. This is the first we have handled and we have seen just a few others. The ball is accompanied by a 2006 PSA auction LOA from Signature House, which states that this ball was originally obtained by a Reuters photographer. The ball displays a few tiny blemishes and an enhancement to two exclamation points on the sweet spot; otherwise, it remains in Excellent to Mint condition. Full LOA from JSA.
