Offered in this two-piece lot is a 1994 Team USA fencing mask and sword (epee) that were both used in competition. On the tongue of the mask (located at the back of the mask) is a sticker that reads, Modern Pentathlon World Championships, Sheffield, 1994. There is also an Asics sticker affixed to the tongue. On the front left side of the mask is a USA patch of letters in red white and blue. The patch is 3.5x1.75". ATLANTA is stamped on the right side of the front of the mask in red ink. There is a light red stamp to the left of ATLANTA, and a black stamp below. Each of the stamps features silhouettes of fencers in action. The mask shows heavy use with marks prominent on the collar and metal net. The epee measures 41" long and shows tremendous amounts of use with scuffs and scratches on the metal guard. "Uhlmann" is embossed on the handle, and there is an "Uhlmann Fecht-Sport" sticker affixed to the the blue felt on the inside of the metal guard. It is unknown which fencer used this equipment.
