Highly desirable piece of football history is sure to delight any football collector. Humidor is an actual-size football presented to Knute Rockne dating back to Nov 30, 1925 at an All-American football dinner at the Commodore Hotel in New York. Four coaching legends would meet there on that date to discuss the all-American selections. These coaches were Knute Rockne of Notre Dame, Glenn Warner of Stanford, Tad Jones of Yale, & “Hurry Up” Yost of Michigan. Base of humidor bears plate, which reads “Knute K. Rockne Compliments of Christy Walsh [Rockne’s personal business manager]”. Black ink signatures from Rockne, Pop Warner & Tad Jones on top of the football. These very tough signatures are considerably faded, but legible. Football humidor opens by a hinge in the middle to reveal a very important label which reads “Knute Rockne’s Souvenir All America Football Dinner Appreciation to my Newspaper Friends and in Honor of Knute Rockne, Tad Jones, Glenn Warner, Fielding Yost and my other Associate Christy Walsh Hotel Commodore New York Nov. 30 1925”.
