Collection of 61 film negatives, each picturing one or more members of the Detroit Tigers. All appear to be original negatives, but one should allow for the possibility of a few duplicate negatives in the collection. Based on the dates written on the sleeves, these images capture players during the mid-to-late 1930s. While most picture common players, several Hall of Famers and stars are featured in the grouping, including Hank Greenberg, Charlie Gehringer, Hal Newhouser, Dixie Walker, Pinky Higgins, Schoolboy Rowe, Dizzy Trout, and Rudy York (image used for his 1939-46 Exhibit card). Additional player images in the collection (many more than once; different poses) include, Marv Owen, Ray Hayworth, James Lynn, Barney McCoskey, Vern Kennedy, Clyde Hatter, Val Sorrell, Archie McKain, Mark Christman, George Gill, Pete Fox, Hugh Shelley, Dutch Meyer, Les Fleming, and Roy Cullenbine. All the negatives measure 4x5". Six of the negatives (Bill Rogell, Frank Reimer, Tommy Bridges, Clarence Phillips, John Pasek, and Al Benton) are in Poor condition and cannot be used to create prints. The remainder are in Very Good condition overall.
