1996-97 Derrick Smith signed game worn Kalamazoo Wings jersey has a terrific hockey look. White top has black and green highlights, with Bauer Pro Homme/Men collar tag next to a smaller size 56 tag. K-Wings logo crest is across the chest, with rear tail having a 30th Anniversary Professional Hockey Players' Association patch, IHL (International Hockey League) patch, and embroidered Bauer in black letters. Captain's "C" is on left breast in green-on-white-and-black tackle twill, with number 24 on back in same style. Numbers on shoulders are in white-on-black-and-green tackle twill, name is screened in black letters on a plate above the rear number. Hammered with use, this specimen includes holes, stick marks, loose threads, paint transfers, and puck marks. Oddly, his large signature in 7/10 black marker is actually inside the jersey, on the backside of the main crest. By the time he wore this jersey with the K-Wings (it should be noted that the team officially rebranded to the Michigan K-Wings for the '95-96 season, though they were still more commonly known by the Kalamazoo name), Smith had completed his 537-game National Hockey League career, which included a career high of 17 goals in his '84-85 rookie campaign with the Philadelphia Flyers.
