Adrian Beltre has been selected to the Baseball Hall of Fame, and the third baseman will be inducted at Cooperstown on July 21, 2024. Beltre was a first-ballot HOF selection. He batted .286 over a 21-year MLB career: Los Angeles Dodgers (1998-2007), Seattle Mariners (2005-09), Boston Red Sox (2010), Texas Rangers (2011-18). Beltre had 477 career home runs and 1,707 RBIs. He has 3,166 hits, and when he achieved his 3,000th hit on July 30, 2017, he became the first Dominican-born player to reach 3,000 hits. A 4-time All-Star, Beltre was also an outstanding fielder, and he was a 5-time Gold Glove winner. The offered maple bat is a Marucci Model AB29, with a black/cherry finish. It is 34.0" long and weighs 32.6 ounces. It shows excellent use with a handle crack that has been repaired. Etched on the barrel is "Handcrafted For Adrian Beltre/AB29 Custom Cut - LDM." Beltre has autographed the barrel, in large, flowing script in silver marker. Also, in silver marker on the barrel, printed by an unknown hand, is "G/U 7/22/16/19th Game Hit Streak/Kauffman Stadium/2nd Longest by Opponent." The date on the bat signifies the July 22, 2016 game when Beltre went 0-for-4 for the Texas Rangers at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, and his streak ended. On the knob, on a square of tape, written in black marker by an unknown hand is "July 22/KC." The offered bat comes with a PSA/LOA for the bat only (Cert. 1B16492).
