1999 Atlanta Braves batting helmet game used and signed by Hall of Fame third baseman Chipper Jones. Navy blue helmet has white "A" logo just above the red bill and a great overall look. Wear includes a prominent scrape to the bill, assorted scratches, and use to the interior padding. Stickers inside the helmet include MLB Authentic Collection, American Baseball Cap (ABC) size 7 1/4, and caution labels. An MLB logo decal sits alone in the middle back of the helmet but there is more than meets the eye, as a number "10" decal has clearly been removed and it appears as if the ABC decal to its immediate left has also been removed. The font on outline of the removed uniform number is important as it dates this helmet to the 1999 season; the dial inside points to "8" for August, and year "98" is shown, meaning the helmet was made in August of 1998, which adds confirmation that it was not used until Jones' MVP campaign. Signed on the bill in 8/10 black Sharpie along with "99 NL MVP!" inscription. Jones was dominant in that campaign with 45 homers, 110 RBI, and a .319 batting average as the Braves went on to capture the National League pennant.
