Original photograph signed by Babe Ruth and four of his golfing buddies in 1927. Ruth is pictured in the center as the group poses on the links at an unidentified course. Ruth has beautifully inscribed the photo in black fountain pen (grading 9/10) directly below his image: "Babe Ruth/Nov. 16th/1927." Each of the other four individuals pictured has signed the photo in a similar manner, but they do not appear to be ballplayers or celebrities. 1927 was a banner season for Ruth, as he set a new single-season home run record and his Yankees swept the Pirates in the World Series. Given his smiling face here, he was greatly enjoying the off-season while basking in the success of his greatest season. The photo (10x8") displays a light water stain in the lower right that touches upon the signatures of the two gentlemen standing to the right, but Ruth's signature is unaffected. There is also a tiny tear to the left border. In Very Good condition overall. Full LOA from PSA (for the Ruth signature only; PSA cannot identify the other individuals).
