Lithograph, titled "Tough Call," by Norman Rockwell, signed by Rockwell in black marker in the lower right corner. This is one of Rockwell's most famous baseball artworks and one that was featured on the cover of the April 23, 1949, issue of the Saturday Evening Post. Printed in 1949 by The Curtis Publishing Company, as noted along the base. The lithograph (19x24") displays moderate foxing and a few light surface wrinkles. It should be understood that this lithograph was not issued as a signed edition. Rockwell's signature was acquired at a later date, making it a scarce signed example of this classic print.
