1992-93 award presented to Pittsburgh Penguins legend Mario Lemieux. Named the Donadeo-Sullivan award, a plate on the base adds that it was awarded "to Mario Lemieux - The Pittsburgh Penguins player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to the game of hockey - 1992-1993." This language closely mirrors that of the NHL's Masterton Trophy, with one league-wide winner selected based on those attributes; after returning from cancer treatment for Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Super Mario did in fact capture that year's Masterton as well. Cherrywood base measures 7.25x7.25x5" with noted plate, marble pedestal measures 5x5x1.25", and statuette above stands 11" high; note that the stick is not present. Trophy stands in EX-NM condition with a few minor blemishes; the three sections have come slightly loose but that should require minimal repair.
