Presented is a Republic Production poster that contains over 25 autographs of the film company's stars. The headliner autographs are those of Roy Rogers and his wife and frequent co-star, Dale Evans. Rogers became so big a star that in his film roles he most often played a character called (of course) Roy Rogers! He got his start as a singer and guitar player in bands and became a singing cowboy in many of his over 100 pictures. He married Dale Evans, and the two often starred in the same films. King of the Cowboys was a famous Roy Rogers western. He starred with Dale Evans in such films as Roy Rogers - Cowboy, and the Senorita and Bells of San Angelo. Dale Evans was also a talented singer, and she wrote the theme song, Happy Trails to You, for the pair's television show. The poster's other autographs: Vera Ralston, Jane Frazer, Bob Livington, Bob Steele, Tom Steele, Rod Cameron, George J. Lewis, Linda Sterling, and many more. The 24x30" print is numbered 960/1200 in the lower right corner. The print reads, Republic Productions. At the bottom is machine-printed Stars of Republic Pictures. The autographs are in black or red marker. The autographs are generally bold and the signatures average 8/10. Except for a small tear on the right side, the print is in excellent condition.
