Mickey Mantle won the American League Triple Crown in 1956 and the Hall of Famer was named as the AL MVP. Presented is an unusual photo negative that shows Mickey "training" for the upcoming 1957 season in early February at Yankee Stadium by hitting snowballs. Mantle's suit looks to be more appropriate for going out to dinner than the pinstriped suit he normally wore at Yankee Stadium, but Mantle's unique training regimen couldn't have hurt: In 1957, after some more traditional spring training in Florida, he again was the AL MVP as he hit .365, with 34 homers and 94 RBIs. No switch hitter in Major League history has blasted more homers than Mantle, who hit 536 four-baggers. The negative measures 3.9x4.9". It comes in a 5.25x7.25" envelope reads, "Mantle, M. 2/5/57/Snowballs/ Bats snowballs into nothingness -snow-covered diamond/Yankee Stadium."
