Exceptional 1977 Baltimore Orioles jersey game worn by elite third baseman Brooks Robinson. Orange pullover top dates from his final year as a player and is all original with Wilson size 42 collar tag and 77 1 strip tag on the tail denoting year and set. Script Orioles in black-on-white is diagonally above Robinson's number 5, which is also on back in black-on-white tackle twill. "ROBINSON" is arched in all black lettering on a plate above the rear number. Brooks has signed below the front number in 8/10 thick, black marker, completing the look on this very rare orange style top. Modern stat metrics create great comparisons of athletes across generations, but the general consensus of those who saw him patrol the hard "hot corner" at Baltimore's Memorial Stadium is that Brooks Robinson is in a class by himself, with his 16 Gold Glove awards in 23 MLB seasons still standing as the record among position players (pitchers Greg Maddux - 18 - and Jim Kaat - 16, round out the top three overall). Add in his 1964 MVP award and two World Series Championships (1966, '70) and this jersey from the Hall of Famer stands as a true gem, as confirmed by the perfect A10 grade from MEARS.
