Minnesota Twins road jersey worn by pitcher Pat Mahomes (father of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes) during his 1992 rookie season. This jersey comes with the added appeal of having been photo-matched to Mahomes' 1993 Donruss baseball card #357. The gray knit pinstriped jersey is lettered "Minnesota" across the front and features the number 20 on the left breast and reverse. "Mahomes" is lettered upon a gray nameplate on the reverse, directly above the number. All numerals and front lettering are applied in red on navy tackle twill. All reverse letters are applied in navy tackle twill. A white strip tag in the collar bears both the year and set number: "92 - 1." A "Russell Athletic 48" tag appears on the left front tail. A Minnesota Twins team patch adorns the left sleeve. The jersey is original as issued and displays heavy wear.
1992 marked Mahomes' first season in the Majors. Appearing in fourteen games with the Twins, he finished the year with a record of 3-4 and a 5.04 ERA. Mahomes played for six different teams during his eleven-year Major League career and retired in 2003 with 42 wins and a 5.47 lifetime ERA. Accompanied by a signed example of Mahomes' 1993 Donruss baseball card #357, which has been encapsulated and authenticated by Beckett.
