Pair of full proof tickets issued for the first heavyweight fight between Joe Louis and Max Schmeling, held at Yankee Stadium on June 19, 1936 (although the ticket lists June 18, 1936, this fight was postponed until the next day due to rain). Each ticket has been graded by PSA, with one graded EX-MT 6 (pop 1 of 1 - highest graded) and the other VG 3 (pop 1 of 1, with just one graded higher). One ticket (VG 3) is for a Ringside seat, while the other is for a Mezza Front Box Seat. Both tickets display cancellation punches. This was the historic bout in which Joe Louis suffered his first professional defeat after being knocked out by Schmeling in round 12.
