Cleveland Indians road flannel jersey worn by utility infielder Billy Moran during the 1965 season. The vest-style zipper-front jersey features the Indians team-logo patch on the left breast and the number "11" on the right breast and reverse. All numerals are applied in red tackle twill. A "MacGregor 44" label appears in the collars. Located on the interior right-front tail are a MacGregor label reading "Set 1 1965" and an adjacent wash tag. Although no name is listed, Billy Moran was the only player to wear number "11" in 1965. The jersey is original as issued and displays moderate wear, with a fully functional zipper. This is a scarce jersey style and was worn by Cleveland only during the five-year span from 1965 to 1969. 1965 marked Moran's final season in the Majors. Appearing in twenty-two games, he batted .125 with no home runs or RBI. Over the course of his seven-year career, Moran batted .263 with 28 home runs and 202 RBI. This is an outstanding Cleveland Indians style jersey dating from its first season of use in 1965.
