Mickey Mantle had a good sense of humor and always took delight in shocking his good friends with off-color remarks when pressed for an autograph. Offered here is one such example, written in black ink on the interior of a restaurant wine list. Mantle has inscribed the piece "To Mead/You shouldn't eat so much asshole!/I do like you/Mickey Mantle." Both the signature and inscription are boldly scripted and grade 9/10. The fold-over wine list (7x9.5"; unfolded), from "The Palm Too," remains in Excellent to Mint condition. Encapsulated by Beckett Authentication with the signature certified as "Authentic."
